Hi, I’m Carol!

Being a mom, I know the feeling of overwhelm that sets in when you’re trying to be everything to everyone. The frustration when it feels like there is never enough time to do it all. Feeling isolated in this journey.

My greatest passion is to help moms ease the pressures of motherhood using non-traditional tools and techniques based on the four pillars of self-care, creativity, values and simplicity.

As a trained Mama Coach, Reiki Master, EFT Practitioner and lover of meditation and breathwork I will guide you in taking baby steps towards your bliss. Motherhood is a journey not meant to be taken on our own.  You need a confidant by your side, supporting you every step of the way.

I would love to help you remember who you are!

"Before coaching with Carol, I was in the midst of seeking medical help for PPA and PPD. I was just getting my feet back under me after a long hard year in the pandemic, with a newborn, and losing my job! Add to that becoming a full time teacher for my older child with online schooling, and my partner's demanding shift work schedule - I was feeling the desperate inner cry for help!
The only concern I had truly, was if we would be a good fit! As it turned out, Carol is extremely easy going, with a sparkle and a sweetness that makes conversations flow easily! We fit very well together, personally, and worked awesome together for her coaching program.
Each session began just the way I needed it to, with mindful breathing! What a simple, yet powerful way of grounding into the moment, before lighting up a fire of exciting personal plans, and goals with a cheerleader and positive energy coach leading the way!
Carol gave me simple wisdoms and totally manageably sized goals tailored to my own personal needs. She had a way of saying “you can do this” in so many different ways and gently reminded me of my own power.
She makes the big things seem possible, with little steps. It felt like working with a friend, who’s encouragement comes from an honest and caring place. I felt motivated to push myself a bit farther, knowing she’d be there to celebrate my victories when we had our next call!
Working together ended up being fun, eye-opening, and helped put me into a space of self-confidence that I knew was somewhere in there, hiding! I now feel capable of managing my days better.
Carol is a sparkly, energetic, positive woman, who’s got a natural ability to make you feel honestly cared for. Her words are gentle, encouraging and thought provoking. She makes you WANT to go after your dreams, rather than put them back on the shelf. I highly recommend Carol to be your personal coach and cheerleader. She is the friend you need at the sidelines, who’s warmth and genuine joyful vibe keeps you excited and motivated to keep running this race (and take breaks regularly too!).

Leading a healthy lifestyle doesn’t have to be a Leading a healthy lifestyle doesn’t have to be all about nutrition.

Your goal could be to get out in nature more.

Sure some days it’s harder to do than others due to outside temperatures or kids tempers. Yet getting outside is SO beneficial for us and our children.

My clients have mentioned being outdoors is a welcome change of scenery, their mind feels clearer and they feel more calm and relaxed.

It’s natural for us to want to connect with nature and experience the joy of simple things.

Maybe an hour walk through the forest is too much for you. Then simply commit to waking to the mailbox with your kids once a day or stepping outside to take a few refreshing deep breaths.

Start today with one of these baby steps and let me know how you feel.

Hey Mama, let’s fuel our bodies well so we show Hey Mama, let’s fuel our bodies well so we show up more vibrant for our children!

Here’s a list of ways to get more goodness in:

1) Healthy snacks - Keep some tasty snack options in your fridge or pantry. Items like fresh of dried fruit, nuts, yogurt, some cut up cucumbers or peppers with hummus. Having these items ready when hunger strikes will prevent you from reaching for the chips.

2) Cook in bulk and freeze it - Double the amount you normally cook and put the leftovers in the freezer. I’ve done this forever and it’s so helpful when you are in a pinch for dinner.

3) Use your crockpot - When my kids were really little, my crockpot was my best friend. Put all the ingredients in the pot first thing in the morning or during nap time and dinner is ready by 5pm.

4) Jug of water - Keep a jug of water ready to go in the fridge or have your refillable water bottle by your side.

5) Blend up a protein shake - This was and still is one of my go-tos. They’re quick to make, taste like a treat, have loads of vitamins plus you don’t need a lot of ingredients.

6) Meal plan/prep - To be honest I’ve never been a meal prepper although I can see the benefits, but I am a meal planner. Planning out your meals for the next few days can really help to take the stress out of what to cook for dinner plus it saves on waste and money.

Yet there is a lot of power in food.

Eating well for your body provides increased energy, gives you sustenance to go about your day and is necessary for stamina.

If you’re in the postpartum stage, healthy eating is key to your healing and recovery, plus breastfeeding moms’ bodies use the nutrients for their baby’s growth and development.

Other benefits include better sleep, improved mood/mental health and lower stress levels.

We need nutritious food in our bodies to be able to keep up with our kids.

If you feel ready to make a change in this area of self-care then let’s start by paying attention to what you’re eating.

Mama, do the words ‘healthy lifestyle’ get you Mama, do the words ‘healthy lifestyle’ get your back up?

Are you thinking ‘I eat scraps off my kids plates,’ ‘I don’t have time to make myself a gourmet meal’ or ‘I can’t afford to buy only organic produce!’

Don’t worry mama, I’m not talking about cooking and eating only organic three-course meals everyday.

Living a healthy lifestyle is simply being mindful of what we put into our bodies and it’s another form of self-care.

Nutrition is important for healing, maintaining good health and nourishing our body and mind.

Healthy living can also mean being more aware of toxins in our skincare and cleaning products.

It can be simply getting outside more.

It’s about what works for you (and your family).

Over my next few posts we’ll be diving into healthy living and how we can make it more doable for you.

Tell me mamas, do the words ‘healthy lifestyle’ freak you out a little bit?
